Solar Panel Kit for 2018 Forest River Sunseeker with AC Unit

Question:

I have a 2018 forest River sunseeker 30ft motor home with a solar input on the side. Can I just need to plug in a solar panel or do I also need some type of controller? I would also like to be able to run my air conditioners on solar. Watch set up what I need?

If your 2018 Forest River Sunseeker Motorhome has a solar panel port on it there's a chance there's a controller already installed and ran to your panel but you'd have to check to be sure. The Go Power DuraLite Portable Solar Panel Expansion # GP76FR is just a panel with wiring and does not come with a controller. It's 100 watt output would not be enough to power an AC unit either as they draw quite a bit. Especially on start up. This could help keep a battery setup topped off that was powering an AC unit but it would not prevent the battery from draining.

For something with a higher wattage rating that could offset the battery discharge of an AC unit the Go Power Elite kit part # 342-75011 would work great as it is capable of putting out considerably more watts. This comes with the controller, the converter, and all wiring needed as well.
