Question:

I have a customer with a Dometic penguin air conditioner. It is on a 2019 Newmar Ventana. It is hooked up to the Dometic 2 zone digital thermostat. I would like to replace the AC. Does the Dometic Fresh Jet AC communicate to this thermostat? Thanks! Joe 574-453-1573

Yes, the Dometic FreshJet 3 can typically be integrated with your existing Dometic 2 zone digital thermostat system on your 2019 Newmar Ventana, but it is not a direct plug and play replacement for your current Penguin unit. The FreshJet series is designed to work with the CCC2 system, but it uses a different communication style, so you will usually need the RJ11 to RJ45 adapter cable part # DMC69JF to allow the new unit to communicate properly with your existing thermostat.

Once that adapter is in place, your CCC2 thermostat should continue to control multiple zones just like it does now, assuming the rest of your system such as the control box is compatible.

Are you planning to replace just one unit right now or updating both zones at the same time?
