When looking to mount a CRC fishing rod system to the Malone AirFlow2 Crossbars # MPG216 on your 2019 Chevy Traverse, it really depends on the mounting clamps on your CRC system. If you already own a CRC system, I recommend measuring the width and depth of your clamps to make sure they can wrap around the 3" wide x 1" tall crossbars of the Malone AirFlow2. With that being said, the AirFlow2 crossbars will work great with a compatible CRC setup on your vehicle. It is important to note, though, that the Malone Airflow2 will only work with 2019 Chevy Traverse with raised factory rails.
If you have a naked roof on your vehicle, I recommend the following crossbar system:
- Inno Square Crossbars - Steel - Black - 58" Long - Qty 2 # INB147
- Inno Feet for Square Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Black - Qty 4 # INSUT
- Custom Fit Kit for Inno XS200, XS250, and INSU-K5 Roof Rack Feet # IN63FR
The Inno Square crossbar system is a great economical choice that will give your rack a 120 pound weight capacity. I recommend confirming with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure your roof can handle that much weight. If you already own a CRC system, I also recommend measuring the depth and width of the mounting clamps to see if they can accommodate the 7/8" tall x 1-1/4" wide square crossbars.
If you are in need of a compatible CRC system that will definitely work with the AirFlow2 and Inno crossbars, I recommend the Thule Rod Vault 2 Rooftop Fly Rod Carrier - Locking # TH27YV or the Thule Rod Vault 4 Rooftop Fly Rod Carrier - Locking # TH87YV. The great thing about these rod carriers is that they come with locks that secure the rods inside the carrier. If you wish to add a lock that secures the carrier to the rack, I recommend the Master Lock Covered, Solid Body Padlock # 131D to fit through the mounting brackets.
