Can the Race Ramps Trailer Loading Assist Ramps Get Wet

Question:

Will these ramps get damaged if they get wet? Also, I see the weight rating is 1,500. The heaviest vehicle I have is supposedly 1,525 pounds per tire. Is the 1,500 rating a strict limit or is there some room to be approximately at that weight?

In regards to the Race Ramps Trailer Loading Assist Ramps like part # RR-TR-6, these are made of EPS high density foam. EPS does not absorb water however, water can work its way through the foam under pressure or by gravity force. If the water gets trapped it can lead to mold and mildew. That said, it won't hurt them if they get wet even once in awhile but I don't recommend permanent storage outside and you'd want to be sure to dry them properly after each use they are subjected to water.

In regards to weight capacity, the limit is 3,000 lbs per axle which I can't recommend exceeding. If you need a higher capacity you'll want to look into metal ramps which I have attached our selection of below.
