Distance From Center of Hitch Pin Out to Rear Edge Spare on Wrangler JL

Question:

I have a 2019 JL wrangler and am looking for a swinging hitch extender. I can’t find one key dimension which will let me know which if the above two options will fit. The problem is that the JL’s hitch is more tucked under the bumper than the old JK’s version. The JL only has 4 3/8” clearance from the top of the receiver tube to the bottom of the tire. That dimension extends out to 7 3/4” from the center of the pin hole…and tapers to full clearance at 10 1/4”. I see one answer that says the Saris is 5 1/4” from the top of the tube to the top of the latch…but no indication of how far from the pin hole that height is. Can you help? And what about the Yakima? I know there is a Kurt that is flush with the top for the receiver tube, but they are even more than the two I’m looking at. Thanks

From the center of the hitch pin hole to the upright portion of the Saris swinging hitch adapter # SAR36VR the measurement is 9 inches so this would easily clear past your spare since it is 7-3/4 inches out past the rear hitch pin.
