Can Air Lift 1000HD Air Bags Be Used To Raise the Rear Ride Height To Level With the Higher Front?

Question:

I have installed a leveling kit from Rough Country on the front of my 2012 Ram 1500 and now the front end sits about 1 inch higher than the rear. Will these bags give me the 1 inch I need to have a better stance with no load?

The Air Lift 1000 Heavy Duty Air Helper Springs # AL60818HD are only designed to work with your existing suspension system and provide additional stability for heavy loads on your 2012 Ram 1500. The springs are not designed to raise your factory suspension for the stance that you are looking for. If you were to add air pressure to the springs without any weight on the rear suspension it would likely raise the suspension but you would notice a harsher ride.

With the age of your Ram you will likely be able correct your ride height with changing the rear springs. The springs will sag over time which will lower the ride height. As you just installed the leveling kit it will the newer front end components will not have the sag affect them until after years of use.
