The Brophy Recessed Trailer D-Ring # RR5K can be safely installed on your 2012 Featherlight 18ft car hauler, providing the installation instructions are followed. The # BP05 that you referenced is in the # RR5K kit so it does not need to be ordered separately.
I have attached a brief video that takes you step by step through the installation process.
If you happen to need tie-down straps, Erickson # 08504-05 is a set that includes two 7-foot tie-down straps as well as an axle strap with d-rings.
