Question:

Hi Planning to tow a Sprinter with My Prevost bus My plan Base Plate BLU33MR Tow Bar BX7470 As all Prevost the Receiver is 20,000Lb but 2inch I see an option for the BX7470 on Blueox 84-0234 that replace the original 2.5inch hitch to 2 Is it possible to order with the 2inch Hitch and in that case what will be the towing rating? Is this tow bar standard legs fit directly with the base plate BLU33MR? Thanks in advance

I have a solution for you but there isn't a way to order the Blue Ox Tow Bar part # BX7470 with a 2 inch hitch shank. Instead the highest capacity tow bar that fits the 2 inch hitch size is the Blue Ox Avail part # BX7420 which has a 10,000 lb towing capacity. This does attach to # BLU33MR.

I'm not looking for a 10,000Lb tow capacity if I was it was easy. I'm looking for higher capacity options with 2" receiver. Thanks

@RafaelN I wish I had a higher capacity solution for you, but the Blue Ox Apollo Tow Bar is the only 15K tow bar that we currently carry and it is only compatible with 2-1/2 inch hitch receivers. Since most trailer hitches on the market are not rated nearly as high as your hitch, and most passenger vehicles on the market fit under the 10K capacity of most tow bars, there aren't many highly rated tow bars on the market. The next highest capacity tow bars that we carry are rated for 10,500lbs and fit in 2 inch receivers. I have linked all the tow bars we currently carry that fit with Blue Ox base plates for your review. We do not have a way to increase the towing capacity of any of these tow bars.
