Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller Keep Locking Up In Spite of Adjusment
Published 10/29/2021 >
Question:
Pull with my Mercedes. ML 350. Used Echo with a 2012 Sonic lite trailer and it worked great. This trip Im pulling a 2015 JayFlight Baja Edition, weighs a little less but not by much. Breaks lock up. Turned down output and sensitivity and they still lock up. Are some trailer breaks not compatible with Echo? Any ideas to fix would be appreciated.

I know exactly what you have going on. The Curt # C51180 Echo has been paired incorrectly with your phone, but this is easy to fix.
Here's how to fix it. First unplug the Echo from the tow vehicle. Next, unplug the trailer 7-way from the Echo. Then, get on your phone and delete the Echo app from your phone then reinstall the application. Plug the Echo into vehicle 7-way (by itself, don't plug in the trailer yet!) until the Echo shows a solid blue LEDs. After you see the blue LED, then you can plug in the trailer, and you'll be good to go.
