What Might Cause Curt Weight Distribution Head to Bend Release Lever for Spring Bar
Published 10/28/2021 >
Question:
Hi I bought the Curt replacement head and one of the release pin has bent. To clarify I had used it for several months and it did not come this way. I was able to get the bar out. The other pin is perfectly fine. What caused this? Can I get a replacement?

Most likely you took a turn too sharply or jacknifed the trailer backing it up which caused the damage you mentioned to your Curt weight distribution head # C17307. Best option once you get it replaced is be careful not to turn the trailer too sharply when backing up to prevent this.
