Troubleshooting Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller Blue Breathing Light On a 2017 Jeep Wrangler
Updated 10/27/2021 | Published 10/26/2021 >
Question:
Have installed your redarc brake controller in my 2017 jeep wrangler and followed the video about 3 times. Replayed it and made sure all my connections were good and correct . When I turn on the ignition to calibrate it i get the blue breathing led light when the overrive Button is pushed. The suggested action is check the trailer plug and all connections between the controller and brakes. Which I have 3 times. Can you help me with the definition of trailer plug? I assume when it says between the controller and brakes inch it means under my dash, where the red wire connects into the white with a brown strip wire of the actual brake unit of my jeep? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For the blue breathing light on your Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR installed on your 2017 Jeep Wrangler, it is not sensing that a trailer is connected.
If your trailer is connected to the 7-way on your Jeep you will want to check the wiring both going into the 7-way and from your 7-way to the trailer brakes to ensure that a wire is not loose or damaged.
The red wire that you have under the dash is correctly installed to the white/brown wire of the brake switch.
