Are There Wider Ramps for the Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes for Fat Tires

Question:

So Yakima offers longer straps for the on-ramp bike rack for fat tire bikes, do they also offer larger cradles to accommodate the wider tires? The ramp is also too narrow for my heavy 65 lbs fat tire ebikes. I don’t trust the narrow cradle to do the proper job. The ebikes are very expensive and I don’t want to put them at risk. I notice that Yakima makes larger cradles for fat tire bikes but they don’t meet my weight requirements. Seems like they got it backwards because fat tire bikes are usually heavier than commuter and mountain bikes.

The Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes part # Y36FR can accommodate bikes with tires up to 4.5" wide when using the Fat Tire Straps for Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack part # Y23FR. That said, there isn't any sort of wider ramp that can be purchased for the rack but so long as you are within the manufacturers limit then there should be no issues.

If you're after a larger ramps then the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes part # TH903202 is a great option as it works with tires up to 4.7" wide although you will need the Fat Bike Straps part # TH985101 still for the rack.
