Recommended Hitch-Mount 2-Bike Platform Rack to Hold e-Bike and Standard Bike

Question:

I need a hitch style platform bike rack for 2 bikes. Id like fold up, tilt, and locks for hitch and bikes. One of the bikes is a ladys electric Trek 55-60 lbs. The other bike would be one of several mens regular bikes. Do I need to get a special one for electric bikes?

An option that easily handles the weight of the e-bike (without removing its battery) is Thule's EasyFold # TH903202. This rack also fits both hitch sizes; it tilts and folds; it has a 65-lbs-per-bike weight rating; it includes a built-in loading ramp, a very nice feature; it includes bike and rack locks; and it weighs a very reasonable 45-lbs, thanks to its aluminum and ABS plastic construction.

The higher-than-average weight of an electric bike can rule out use of certain bike carriers that are made to handle the 30-35-lb average weight of a typical adult bike. Removing the e-bike's battery usually drops the weight by about 10-lbs and in some instances this can get your bike weight within the rack's capacity.
