Question:
Good evening, I have a 1998 Utilitimaster step van with a Freightliner chassis. I would like to add a trailer hitch to the step van. Would you recommend to use #41990 and the plates associated with this? Thank you for your prompt reply!

The Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Cross Tube # 41990 will definitely be a good option for your 1998 Utilimaster step van, as long as the frame is not longer than about 44" as you will need some cross tube for the brackets to be welded on.
As to the brackets, the correct ones will depend on how low the bumper sits from where the hitch will be mounted to the frame. We have these brackets in a 7" drop ( # 4907) as well as a 16" of drop ( # 4916) if needed.
