Question:
I have a standard 4 wire flat plug that I need to connect to my 2006 Hyundai Elantra but I can find a wiring diagram for the vehicle. What should I do? Can you help me with this problem? Thanx.

I recommend using a Test Light # PTW2993 to check the tail light wiring on your 2006 Hyundai Elantra. With this you can probe each wire on the tail light connector to determine exactly what function it controls.
I do not recommend using a standard 4-wire flat plug like the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness # C58044 as it puts all the strain of carrying the additional load for the trailer harness on your Elantra. A better option is to use a Tekonsha Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter # 119178KIT as it only pulls a small amount of power from your factory harness and sends power to the 4-way harness directly from your battery protecting the wiring in your Elantra. With the Tekonsha kit you also get a test light included so that you do not have to purchase one separately.
