Dutton-Lainson Boat Trailer Standard Roller Bunks for Hauling Heavy Loads of Seaweed
Published 10/15/2021 >
Question:
Hey there - I bought 3 pairs of these a few years ago for my 24foot Carolina skiff which I use for harvesting seaweed here in Maine. I have a oversized bunk trailer with triple axles and I load about 8000 lbs of seaweed into my boat then I trailer it home for unloading. The bunks worked great for the first season but now I noticed that the nylon rollers are crackinng and falling apart and obviously not holdiing up. I am wondering.... Is 10,000 lbs too much for 6 of these to handle? Do you sell some that are rated extra heavy duty? Please advise.. Love etrailer and your service. Thanks

Thanks for the great picture! Sorry to hear you're having problem with the 1,500 lbs CE Smith Roller Bunks Item # CE27710. It sounds like they are overload so let's get you upgraded to the Dutton-Lainson Boat Trailer Standard Roller Bunks item # DL21755. These roller bunks are 5' Long but have a 3,000 lbs capacity per pair so you'll need 4 sets to make sure these are not overloaded as well. The zinc-plated steel rollers are constructed of 12-gauge, galvanized steel.
