I would like a trailer hitch for my 2021 Mazda CX-5 that I can tow with but not see much of the hitch sticking out.

I would be happy to help you set up your 2021 Mazda CX-5 for towing and find you something that is as discreet as possible. I recommend the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver item # EH68VR. This is a 2" custom fit receiver that has a maximum gross trailer weight of 4,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 600 lbs. I have attached a picture of this hitch on a 2021 CX-5 to show you what the finished product will look like.
I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # 118746. This harness will let you control your trailers lighting functions. You can quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Mazda CX-5 with this custom wiring harness. The T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring requiring no cutting, splicing or tapping of wires.
To round out your towing setup I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" Ball, a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop, and is rated for up to 7,500 lbs. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
