Does 2014 Dynamax DX3 RV Need Weight Distribution to Tow Trailer with 18 GVWR
Published 10/12/2021 >
Question:
Hello I’m looking to purchase this hitch for my 2014 Dynamax DX3 RV. It is on a Frieghtliner M2 chassis and has the larger receiver for trailers. This is one of the only hitches that will fit being 3”. My question is load distribution. I have a hitch for my dually but has the load distribution built in. My new trailer is 32’ and GVWR is 18,000 lbs. so I need that for my truck. If I’m understanding it correct I will not need that for my Frieghtliner RV. The towing capacity of the RV is much higher then the trailer GVWR. I believe it’s at 20,000 lbs. so there would be no need for the load levelers correct? Thank you for any information

The Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount part # 325-GH-1723 does fit the 3 inch hitch size of your 2014 Dynamax DX3. Based on the weight and towing capacity of your RV you would not need weight distribution for your trailer.
