What Size Hitch Pin Holes Come with Reducer Sleeve for Super Titan Hitch Receivers

Updated 02/10/2026 | Published 01/12/2026

Question:

I have a 2026 f450 on order and I want to get a 3” to 2” reducer. I noticed the Reece comes with 3/4 hitch pin hole and others come with 5/8. Witch size works with the factory receiver?

Hey William, so the 3 inch hitches do use the larger hitch pin diameter but the 2-1/2 inch hitches still use the smaller one. So with a reducer like the part # 38735 technically you would use both sizes. If you check out the picture I attached you can see that a smaller and a larger hole.

Hey William, how did things turn out with the reducer sleeve for your F450’s factory receiver? Did the mix of 3/4 and 5/8 inch hitch pin holes line up the way you needed? Your update could make it easier for others setting up the same hitch.

@JamesonC I just picked up my f450 yesterday and it does not use a 3/4 pin in the stock receiver it has a 5/8 pin. So the 38735 has slop that an adapter with a 5/8 hole wouldn’t have . I will be returning the adapter and the 3/4 locking pins. Hope this info helps someone else.

@William I understand. It's worth mentioning that hitch pins don't generally provide a tight enough fit to get rid of hitch noise/rattle. In order for a hitch pin to stop that type of noise it would need to be super tight and over time it would just wear out from friction plus it would still allow the hitch accessory to move up and down.
