I have a great solution for you. Unfortunately, I confirmed with Thule that the OutWay # TH45JV will not fit your 2021 Hyundai Sonata. The only options we have for a trunk-mounted solution is the SeaSucker Komodo # 298-BK1910-AB (blue), # 298-BK1910-BK (black), # 298-BK1910-SV (silver), or # 298-BK1910-GO (gold). With the vacuum cups on the Komodo, you will be able to transport a single bike up to 45 pounds. The installation process of the Komodo is the simplest out of any rack we carry here at etrailer.

If you want a different solution that will allow you to carry 2 bikes, I recommend a hitch bike rack. For a great economical bike rack that will allow you to transport 2 bikes up to 35 pounds, I recommend the Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # S64650. The XC2 comes with a frame-mounted attachment style that will mount to the frame tubes of your bikes.

If you have a children's bike, women's-style bike, or step-thru bike, I recommend the Swagman Bike Frame Adapter Bar # 64005. The adapter bar will give your bike the straight, horizontal plane required to attach to the frame hooks of the XC2. Also, to protect your investment, I recommend the Locking Anti-Rattle, Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable for Swagman Bike Racks w/ 1-1/4" & Combo Shanks - 7' # S64031. The cable lock and locking hitch pin will deter the theft of your bikes as well as the rack itself.

As far as a compatible hitch receiver, I recommend the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit # DT74MR. The Draw-Tite will provide you with 200 pounds of tongue weight, which is more than enough to handle the XC2 as well as up to 2 bikes. Since the XC2 has a long shank (10 inches from the center of the pinhole to the closest wheel hoop), you will not have any bumper clearance issues.
