Whats the difference between the drivers side upper bracket p/n F5717 in kit F2535 and the driver side upper bracket p/n F5840 in kit F2597.

They are the same thing since the two kits you mentioned are the same with one just being a newer part number. So either way the upper bracket kit part # F5717 that you referenced would work great.
