Question:
I have a 1992 Barth Breakaway with a broken grey water valve...the handle and rod come off if my hand but the valve remains closed. It appears that I might need a T1002VPM, but a couple of the measurements dont match what are given on your site. Im on the road, so I dont have a caliper to note exact sizes of round pipes/fitting but estimates should be close. What I have has: Body width of 3 in, Body thickness of 9/16in, 4-hole spacing of 2-7/8 in, Leng closed of 7-1/2 in. Leng open is not known because handle and rod pull completely out. The Open length when the shaft pulls out is 9 in...much shorter than the expected 10-1/4 in. A machined wide groove is at near the end of the shaft and it has no broken edge...very smooth finish which makes me feel like the REAL length would be approx 9 in even without the problem. The O.D. of the grey water pipe is approx 2-1/4 in to 2-5/16 in. It is cemented into an extension on a mounting flange which has an O.D. of approx 2-5/8 in. The difference in length when Open is no concern itself, because I have plenty of room for the longer rod and handle but I am concerned that it may indicate an incompatible version. Many thanks for posting the measurements online and for a response as to what you think as soon as possible since were on the road and unable to dump our grey legally.

You can definitely use the Valterra Bladex Waste Valve Body for RV Holding Tank # T1002VPM.
You're correct about the length not being a concern in regards to compatibility, what really matters is the 4-hole spacing, and for the Valterra # T1002VPM it is 2-7/8 inches, just like what you said you had.
With your measurements in regards to the extension, it sounds like you are saying you have a slip hub such as the Valterra RV Sewer Slip Hub with Flange - 2" # T1005-2 which has a 2-3/4" outer hub diameter. The # T1002VPM will connect to that without issue; so long as you have the 2-7/8" 4-hole spacing, the Valterra # T1002VPM is compatible.
You will also need the Valterra ABS Solvent Cement # A05-0303.
