I’m looking for a ladder rack to haul my kayaks. I have a bakflip mx4 cover. My side pockets are exposed. What kind of rack can I use with the cover I have? Thank you

With the BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK48120 installed on your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5-1/2' Bed you will need the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A4000963. This ladder rack is mounts to your bed rails via the stake pockets in the top of the bed rails. It does not use clamps on the inside of the bed rails as many other ladder racks require.

With the Adarac Rack you will be able to carry up to 500lbs of cargo or in your case Kayaks. The etrailer J-Style Kayak Carrier # e98878 will allow for you to more easily load your kayaks. You will be able to place the front of the kayak in the front carrier and raise the rear of the kayak into the rear carrier.
