What is the Weight Rating of the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket # CE10002G

Question:

I am trying to convert a rather flat trailer into a v-hull and I need to extend the height on the bunk boards. These brackets look thinner than what is currently on the trailer and I need to know if these are sturdy enough. The boat is a 60s era 18 ft long.

I spoke with my technical contact at CE Smith and he informed me that the Bolster and Swivel Bracket # CE10002G do not have a weight rating because it is a straight down force and actually the weight rating application relates to the boards the brackets are attached to rather than the brackets themselves.

I did pull one of these from the warehouse and this one part weights 1.9lbs.I measured the side walls with a caliper and they are .124 +/- .003 inches and are made with 11-guage galvanized steel.
