Torsion Axle Lift Kit For a 2011 Forest River Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 8244S 5TH Wheel Camper

Question:

I recently purchased a 2021 chevy 2500HD Silverado. My 2011 Rockwood Ultra Lite fifth wheel Model 8244S does not match up to this truck. I need a minimum 4 inch lift for the trailer to match the truck. Is there a 4inch torsion axle lift kit for this fifth wheel? Is it even safe to raise a fifth wheel this high? Thanks.

You may be able to combine a torsion lift kit and larger tires and wheels to get you close to the 4" lift that you are looking for. Currently there is not a torsion lift kit that will raise your 2011 Forest River Rockwood 8244S that much.

I've had a bit of a hard time figuring out exactly what axles are under your Rockwood. I do know that they are 3,500lb axles which narrows down the possibilities. You may have a Dexter #10 Torflex. You can determine if you have this by measuring the distance between the bolt hole centers that hold the axle on your frame or checking the manufacturer tag if it is still in place.

The #10 Dexter Torflex axle has a bolt hole center measurement of 8".

Once you have determined if you have this axle you have you can match up to the right lift block.

#10 Torflex Lift Kit # K71-707-02 (2-5/8" lift)

With the correct lift kit installed you can determine if you are happy with the lift achieved and if not reach back out to me for help with larger wheels and tires.
