How do the Optronics LED Light Strip # ILL71CB Compare to a Fluorescent Light
Updated 06/05/2013 | Published 05/31/2013 >
Question:
I need interior lights in a Race Trailer. Will these LED Lights put out enough light equal to a two tube Flouresent 110V? Or How many of these LED Lights would it take to equal the lumens of the 110v 2 tube Fouresent light? thanks

The effective lumens rating for the Optronics LED Thinline Interior Lights, # ILL71CB, is 342 lumens. It is difficult to compare the lumens output of this LED light strip to a 2 tube fluorescent light without knowing the length and wattage of the fluorescent bulbs.
After doing some research, it seems that many 16 inch fluorescent bulbs are 16-watts and these bulbs have a lumens output of 1000. With this information, we could say that a 2 bulb fluorescent light that has two 16 inch, 16-watt fluorescent bulbs will have a lumens output of approximately 2000. This means you would need 6 of the Optronics LED light strips to reach the lumens output of a comparable fluorescent light.
