Troubleshooting MaxxFan Continuing to Run Until Power is Disconnected
Published 10/07/2021 >
Question:
We have a Maxx fan in the bathroom of our 2017 TimberRidge and I pressed the on/off button and the fan started in high and I was unable to turn it off. None of the buttons open/close, fan speed etc. would work. I unplugged the back wire from this connection its like a telephone wire and nothing happened. Reviewed the installation instructions that came with the trailer and there is no trouble shooting information. We took out the fuse that correlated with the fan and of course that did the trick but it also disconnected our refrigerator. My husband had to climb up on the roof and take off the cover to the fan and cut the black wire! This fan is the basic one apparently because it has no keypad controls on the inside lid itself, only the manual open/close knob. Please let me know how to trouble shoot this. Thanks,

Have you tried reconnecting your fan? Sometimes the circuit board will go a little haywire and disconnecting the vent from power for about 5 minutes will reset the board. Since you have the manual lift I would think that the Replacement Circuit Board # MA10A21276K could be the fix if it's still acting weird when you connect it, but I would need a photo or part number from you just to be sure. I do find it a bit odd that you don't have any controls on the lower face of the unit so knowing what vent we are working with could help.
