Question:

Is the B&W Companion or Curt PowerRide a better choice for a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 long bed dually? It does have the factory prep for in bed hitch.

I recommend using the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3715 for your 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 with the in bed factory prep/puck system. This hitch is made in the USA and B&W has great attention to detail. While the PowerRide # C36WR looks like a great hitch I have never been a fan of the integrated Wear Plates # C52WR. They are specific to the one hitch and when they become damaged they may be difficult to find on a trip. And as I have seen with other manufacturers if they discontinue producing the hitch you may never be able to find the plates later down the road.

The Curt does offer a higher weight capacity of 30,000lbs versus 25,000lbs for the B&W. So if you have a need for the larger hitch for your trailer you might look at the Curt A30 # C16070. This has a similar design to the PowerRide but a more traditional hitch head.
