Question:
I have a 2012 Dodge ram 1500 with the above brake controller installed. The last time I towed it the trailer brakes did not seem to be working. The LED light on the brake controller is just a small dot and I cannot see any of the numbers. Does this mean the brake controller no longer works? I just realized it is about 15 years old. Is it time to replace it?

It's possible your Draw Tite Activator does need to be replaced but there's a couple easy things you can try. Try cleaning all of the pins of your 7-way as sometimes it's just some corrosion or dirt that causes this issue. You can also try unplugging and plugging in the controller to reset it.
If it still doesn't work it would be time to replace it and the Brake EVN # TK63VR would be a really solid option.
