Question:
2002 Nissan Frontier SE V6 Crew Cab 4WD. After complete install of wiring harness with conversion box, nothing works. When installed direct without conversion box, it works, however, with it being ran direct upon connecting a trailer the wires will burn. How do I get trailer lights to work with conversion box?

First, make sure that you have the white ground wire from harness # 118362 grounded to a clean and corrosion free bare metal surface. If the converter box is not properly grounded, then the circuit will not be completed, and the voltage will not make it through the converter box.
If that does not solve the issue, then use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 if you do not already have one to test the wires leading into the converter from the truck. If the signals are correct, then test the wires on the 4-Way end. If the signals are correct going in but wrong or non-existent coming out, then the converter is bad and will need to be replaced.
If the signals are correct going in and coming out, then there is a problem with the trailer wiring. Make sure that the main trailer connector is free of corrosion. Also make sure that the main trailer connector ground and the light grounds are attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces.
If you test the wires leading into the converter and the signals are not correct, then there is a problem with the truck wiring that will need to be addressed.
