We have recently rolled out with a new feature on our website where you can search by your zip code for nearby installers. From the product page you want to have installed you will be able to search for a local installers that you can take your 2018 Mercedes GLS to and have the components installed.
I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13190 for your GLS. This will fit both the 450 and 550 GLS models. This class III receiver has a 2" receiver that is rated for a maximum tongue weight of 900lbs and maximum trailer weight of 7,500lbs. Be sure to consult with your owners manual/dealer for the exact capacities your GLS is capable of hauling.
For a brake controller I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR. This controller is proportional and the controller has a very small footprint so it will not take up a large portion of your dash. To install this on your GLS you will need a Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 and a ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT.
