Can I Adjust the Water Pressure on the HydroMax RV Fresh Water Pump # P25201 While Running

Question:

I replaced a pump that wouldnt build enough pressure to cut off and the new one has less pressure than the one I replaced. Can it be adjusted to increase pressure while running?

I spoke to my contact at Valterra and he does not recommend adjusting the pressure on the HydroMax RV Fresh Water Pump - 12 Volt - 3 Gallons Per Minute - 55 psi # P25201. He said that they come from the factory adjusted where they should be for best results.

He did think that there may be an obstruction in the water tank causing the water flow to be less than it should. He said that you would want to make sure the water line is clear to the tank and that there is nothing in the tank that could cause an obstruction.

He recommended checking the filters in the line right before it gets to the pump to make sure they are clear. He also said you blow air back into the tank, the opposite way from the pump. This could clear anything out that is in the lines.
