Question:
Will it fit on 2009 Subaru legacy, sedan, with factory spoiler. Im guessing that it will because there is a gap under the spoiler, but would like to make sure. Thanks

After consulting with Thule, I have found the Thule OutWay 2 Bike Carrier # TH45JV is a compatible fit for your 2009 Subaru Legacy with a factory spoiler. According to Thule, this rack will fit most factory spoilers and even some aftermarket ones. The cables and support arm of this rack will go over the spoiler.
You can see all of it's great features in the attached video.
If you plan to carry women's or alternatively-framed bikes, you might be interested in the Thule Adapter Bar # TH982XT. It creates a horizontal bar for bikes that do not have one and creates a more level transport for your bikes as well as increased ground clearance. I have provided a link to a video review of this product.
