Can You Boost Power To Factory Trailer Brake Controller On a 2021 Chevy Silverado 3500

Question:
My 2021 Chevrolet 3500HD factory brake controller actuates my electric over hydraulic brakes but does not have enough power. Is there a way to boost the factory controller? I have a Teconsha P3 purchased from Etrailer I took out of my last truck I would like to hook up if I can’t make the factory work but is there a way to do this without giving a code? Also I have factory 3 wires coming out of plug that I installed for the uplifter switches that are supposed to be for a brake controller. Can these be used if I already have a factory controller? HELP! Thanks

I do have an option for you but I am not aware of anyway to boost power on the factory trailer brake controller. They are rather finicky, especially when used with electric over hydraulic actuators therefore a much better solution would be to bypass the factory trailer brake controller with an aftermarket option. I recommend the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 which won't require any splicing or dealer reprogramming. It simply plugs into the 7-way and then you can control the manual override and settings through a mobile device.
