It seems I have ample clearance , is the problem on the inside of the tire or where does the friction come from Thank you

I am not sure what specific issues may occur in your 2015 Chevy Tahoe if you install tire chains. They usually involve the inside of the tire hitting something. I do know that your owner's manual advises against it. If you believe you have enough clearance the Titan Chain Diagonal Alloy Cable Snow Tire Chains - Light Truck - 1 Pair, part # TC747DC, are the correct size Titan snow tire chains you will need.
