You answered a great question about the Swagman Part # S64702 and thru-axle bikes: The Swagman Pick-Up Truck-Bed-Mounted 2 Bike Carrier - Locking - Fork Mount # S64702 would need an adapter like the Swagman Spire Fork Adapter for Bikes with 15 mm or 20 mm Thru-Axle Forks # S64706. I get the answer, but Im unsure if the adapter is actually locked to the Swagman Bike Carrier bar. I know I can use some sort of chain lock, but that would not be my first option. Lol. Thank you for any help you can provide.

That's a good question, and the Spire adapter can be locked to the bike rack, but it would indeed require a cable lock. The reason for that is the adapter doesn't have any type of built-in lock mechanism, so for full security you would need the cable lock. So what you would need are the following:

- Swagman Pick-Up Truck-Bed-Mounted 2 Bike Carrier - Locking - Fork Mount # S64702

- Swagman Spire Fork Adapter for Bikes with 15 mm or 20 mm Thru-Axle Forks # S64706

- Cable Lock # e98891

The bike rack itself does have a lock in the middle, so the rack will stay securely in your truck bed, but to lock the adapter (and hence your bikes) to the rack the cable lock would need to be used.
