I have a 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Do I order the mid size or full size softride tailgate pad?

The Softride Tailgate Pad, # SR26461, for mid size trucks is probably going to be the best option. It measures 54 inches long so compare that to the tailgate on your 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac to determine fit. The model for a full size truck, # SR26457, is 61 inches long.

Thule also has a similar product, # TH823PRO for a 54 inch or # TH824PRO for a 62 inch.

All of these items work in basically the same way. They fit over the tailgate, have a flap for the tailgate handle. They strap to the tailgate and protect the truck and bikes from damaging each other. I have included a couple of video links for you.
