Installation of Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle

Question:
Can I use the roadmaster disconnect kit on the negative battery cable instead of the positive, the positive post dont use a cable they bolt to an aluminum plate directly to positive post. I realize Ill have to move the fused switch wire from the solenoid post for battery post directly to positive battery post,and connect large cables as marked but to negative cable and negative post, will this affect the solenoid in any way .

The Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle w/ Supplemental Braking System, # RM-766 is designed to function on the positive side of the battery. For the relay to be energized, it must be installed as designed.
