Question:

I am considering putting a # EMO7705 on my 2009 Tacoma. I am willing to drill holes to do so. Am I correct in assuming that the uprights can be installed on the crossbars at different distances?

The Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack # EM07705 will have the ability to move the uprights on the bar. It is not confirmed to fit your truck though, but if you really want the Erickson you can try to modify it to fit your Tacoma. I don't suggest it though because I have a bunch that will fit without modifications.

Some are for the Tacomas with Deck Rail Systems like this Rola Ladder Rack # 59799. If you don't have the deck rack system, you can get this one # TH37004XT. Both can be adjusted and both will have all the adjustments you need to get it to fit. I don't see you having to drill holes for the installation. I've included some videos for you to see how it installs!
