How Do I Know If My 17 Ram 3500 Has Factory Top Overload Springs Or Not?

Question:

Some of the will it fit my truckinch questions posed here are answered with yes, if your truck DOES NOT have the factory top overload springs. How do I know whether or not my 2017 RAM 3500 Tradesman not a dually has the factory top overload springs?? I just ordered the RAS3613-HD

You are correct in that the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS3613-HD will not fit if your truck has top overload springs. These can be identified by looking at the top of your leaf springs and will basically look like another leaf that is not connected to the rest. It will have a steeper curve and there will be pads, for the lack of a better term, that the end of this spring will make contact with once compressed.

I included an image of a typical top overload spring for to look at as well. This should do a better job of explaining what they will look like.
