Inno Board Locker # INA744 VS The Inno Locker # INA446 For Carrying Long Boards

Question:
I am trying to figure out which rack to get for carrying 1 or 2 longboards. I have narrowed it down to the Inno system because its side loading design works well for my needs. It looks like the INA744 has a smaller design but uses its own included crossbar? The INA446 seems to utilize the factory crossbar and simply supply the anchor points for either side along with a pad for the factory bar? Just trying to get a side-by-side comparison. Also, do you offer INNO pads to go with the INA744 and does the 2019 Subaru Forester aero crossbar require the longer mounting bolts for installation of this rack? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Board Locker # INA744 is going to be a bit taller of a carrier compared to the Inno Locker # INA446. Both are going to wrap around your crossbars and work with whatever roof rack you may have, the mechanism is the same thing. You're right though, the board locker # INA744 is going to use it's own bar to support the boards. If it were me, I would get the Inno Board Locker just because it can carry 3 shortboards if need be. For you, I think it comes down to clearance. Since you have a Subaru Forester, you shouldn't have any clearance issues so the Inno Board Locker # INA744 would be my recommendation.
