bought the silver shaft for the fan to close the top but after it closes the shaft fall out from the housing I think there may be an additional park. trying to figure it out cant close tope completely. tight to the roof

The Replacement Locking Knob Screw # MA10-21241K normally threads into the Replacement Locking Knob Shaft # MA10-21232KSHAFT which it sounds like you may be missing.
