Question:
I currently own a 19 Tacoma SR base model and I bought a “Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector“ few months ago to tow and install a tailgate light bar trip. It’s all working perfectly as how I want it until the fuse on the trailer harness blow out. I did replace with a exact new one but now I’m having a issue of constant power on the trailer harness with mean it keep my tailgate light bar on all the time even when the truck is off. Is there a way I can fix the problem without replace a new harness? Looking for your answer from you guys and have a great day!

Expert Reply:
If there is constant power on the trailer connector at any of the circuits while the vehicle is off, then this indicates the converter has gone bad and the entire wiring harness will need to be replaced. The best option we have for a 2019 Toyota Tacoma is the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C56349, so it just needs replaced.
