What Size Rhino-Rack Crossbars Do I Need In Order To Use Thule Hullavator?

Question:

Hello, Can a Thule Hulivator Pro 898 be used on a Rhino Rack on a 2015? It looks like it’s 50 inch long bars on the Kia Rhino Rack when I tried to measure it myself. Also from the connection of the bar to the roof it looks like 3 inches of space. Is it the space from the connection or the width of the car? Will you please let me know? Thank you

The Thule Hullavator # TH898 requires crossbar overhang of at least 4" on each side, meaning the crossbars must extend past the tower/legs by at least 4". It looks like you may have enough room but you will want to measure to verify.

If you don't have 4" on each side then you may be able to shift the crossbars over to one side which could possibly give you the necessary 4" on one end for the Hullavator to fit. The other option is to upgrade to Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars Silver - 59" # RRVA150S-2. This will certainly give you the crossbar overhang necessary for the Thule Hullavator.
