Lippert Electric Tread Lite Steps Stuck Open

Question:
I can get under the RV and unplug and plug the 4 wire connector and when I do at about have way being plugged the steps retract, push the plug all the way together and they extend back out? I have a new set of magnets ordered, hope that is it.

This can be a number of possibilities why your Lippert Electric Tread Lite Step for RVs # LC353543 are not working properly, sometimes, the steps will not retract if the door and door frame magnet switches aren’t perfectly aligned. These components need to be perfectly aligned to ensure operational success.
It would also be a good idea to check that the grounding wires are making a solid connection to the chassis of the motorhome or trailer and should not have rust between the connections.
