Question:
We have a 2021 range rover evoque and need to have a brake controller for the trailer. The 7 pin connector does not have the brake wire conneted or available. Will the Curt echo work without this wire literature states it will and if so assume uses both the turn signal connections to indicate the brakes are on? Will the Curt echo working this vehicle without the brake wire. Many thanks

Yes, your 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is 100 percent compatible for use with the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180.
The Echo does not require the use of the brake wire, it only needs the 7-way to have the 12 volt, ground, and turn signals in order to work properly. It doesn't use the turn signals to indicate the brakes are on, but instead it has an accelerometer that senses your vehicle's deceleration and activates the trailer brakes accordingly.
