Question:
I’m looking to get some more ground clearance out of my 2001 jayco kiwi 21c. Will this kit work?

Expert Reply:
If your 2001 Jayci Kiwi 21C has double-eye springs, you can use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit to improve your ground clearance. You will gain the width of your axle (either 2 3/8" or 3") plus about 1/4" for the spring seat, as well as the depth of the springs.
From what I found, your 2001 Jayco Kiwi 21C weighs about 3300 lbs. At this weight your trailer should have
2 3/8" axles. For those axles you will need the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit
# K71-384-00.
The # K71-385-00 will work if your trailer has 3" axles, for a trailer that ways between 6,000 and 7,200 lbs.
