I have a solution for you. The matte black version of the TracRac TracONE Ladder Rack is # TH27000XTB. However, if you have a tri-fold tonneau cover on your 2009 GMC Sierra 1500, you will not be able to use the Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack while the cover is in use. The reason for that is because the TracONE uses clamps that install right into the truck's bed rails (where the tonneau cover is installed).

The best alternative for a folding tonneau is the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A4001014 (5-1/2 ft. bed). This ladder rack is the best option because the uprights of the Adarac pro do not slant inward (which could cause interference with the cover. You also have the option to add Aluminum Tie-Downs # A4000882 and Load Stops # A4000880 to give you more options when transporting cargo. However, the Adarac Pro series only has that model available for 5-1/2 foot bed 2009 GMC Sierra 1500s.

If you have a 6-1/2 foot or an 8-foot bed, I recommend the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43002XT-501 (6-1/2 ft. bed) or # TH43002XT-000 (8-ft. bed). With the TracRac SR, you will need to maneuver the sliding uprights to fold the cover due to the inward angle of the supports. The rails inside the bed do allow for the installation of the rack in the stake pockets and the sliding rails on top of the truck bed rails. You can also purchase the Pro Grip Retractable Ratchet Tie-Downs # 317-330420.

Unfortunately, we do not carry a black version of these ladder racks nor is there a black ladder rack that will work with your tonneau cover.
