Can you replace the batteries when they die or do you have to replace the whole sending unit?

Yes, you are able to replace the batteries on the TST TPMS for RVs - Color Display - Signal Booster - 6 Flow Through Tire Sensors # TST-507-FT-6-C. The batteries have a normal life of 12-18 months. If you do need to replace the batteries, they are a size CR-1632.
