Determining Correct Axle To Replace Older Axle W/ Obsolete LM11949 and LM67048 Bearing Combination

I may have a replacement axle option for you, but the # LM11949 and # LM67048 bearing combination your spindle has is not one that has been used for quite a while and there are currently no replacement hubs available that work with that combination. You may be able to find a used hub on a resell website.

Your best bet would be replacing the entire axle with one that uses a more common bearing combination to make finding replacement parts now and in the future much easier.

To determine which axle will work as a replacement you will need to find a few key bits of information, the hub face measurement, the spring center measurement, and the axle rating.

Starting with the hub face measurement you will measure from hub face to hub face of your hubs, and for the spring center measurement you will measure from the distance between the spring seats on center as shown in the included diagram.

The axle rating will be on the axle tag located on the center of the axle, or if it is missing you can find the axle rating by taking the GVWR of the trailer and dividing it by the number of axles on the trailer.

For example if your trailer has a 3500lb axle then the Dexter Axle Beam # T3584F-EZ-8974 which has a hub face measurement of 89" and a spring center measurement of " as shown in the included diagram. If these dimensions match your axle then this would be a great option. For a compatible hub that has the 5 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern you need we have the # AKIHUB-555-35-EZ-K.
